Investable.Africa

Terms of use

Draft for review by a South African lawyer before launch.

What Investable.Africa is

Investable.Africa is a software platform where African startups publish profiles and investors read them. We are not a broker, investment adviser, crowdfunding portal or financial services provider. We do not hold investment money or securities, recommend any investment, or take a share of any money raised. Investors make their own decisions and do their own checks.

Startups

You must have the right to publish everything you upload, and it must be accurate and not misleading. We review profiles before they go live and may decline, edit the visibility of, or remove a listing that breaks these terms. You decide who opens your data room and can take access back at any time.

Investors

Investor accounts are free. By applying you confirm you are a sophisticated, professional or accredited investor under the rules where you live. Data-room files are shared with you in confidence: do not pass them on without the founder's written permission.

Payment and refunds

Listings cost US$125 a month or US$950 a year, paid through PayPal and renewed automatically until cancelled. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time; the listing stays live until the end of the month already paid for, and part-months are not refunded. Yearly plans are sold at a discount and paid upfront, so they are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. A listing goes live only once it is paid for and approved.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
